Seoul AIC Training Center Holds Foreign Dentist Training Seminar
-- More Dentists Come to Korea to Learn Implant
-- More than 20 Participants from Thailand, Japan, and Sweden
The Seoul AIC Training Center held the Foreign Dentist Training Seminar on the 21st~22nd. With the theme “Soft & Hard Tissue Management,” this year’s training seminar was directed by Dr. Yoon-euy Hong.
More than 20 dentists from Thailand, Japan, and Sweden participated in this seminar; since it was an advanced course, dentists with extensive experience in implant enthusiastically participated in the seminar.
The program on the 21st included a lecture on soft tissue and practice using pig jaw.
After the lecture on flap design, periodontal plastic surgery for anterior implants, soft tissue augmentation, and use of cellular dermal matrix around implants, Dr. Yoon-euy Hong led the demonstration relayed through video presentation; participants also practiced while the demonstration was being held.
The program on the 22nd included a lecture on the background and biological principles, treatment of extraction sockets, and treatment of bone-deficient sites followed by pig jaw and piezo practice.
Family members who accompanied the participating dentists joined the closing ceremony held afterward; thus making the event a more pleasant one. “AIC’s seminar served as an opportunity to take a deeper look into and study implant,” said the dentists who participated in the seminar. They are looking forward to more of such opportunities in the future.
Seoul AIC is planning to hold another “Foreign Dentist Training Seminar” in the first half of this year. On the other hand, AIC is planning to provide a venue for academic exchange for dentists worldwide through the “AIC World Meeting 2009” scheduled in Thailand in May.
